The Student Direct Stream is fast student study permit visa program which allows a student to get a study permit in as little as 20 days.
To be eligible for this program you must live in one of the following countries.

The Philippines

Vietnam

Have a GIC (guaranteed investment certificate) in the amount of minimum $10,000 cdn
Have a Certificat d’acceptation from Quebec
Have a medical exam if required before you apply
Have a police certificate if you need one before you apply
Have your secondary or post-secondary transcripts
Have your language test results (must be academic or general and score 6.0 or higher or equivalent French test
You may be requested to supply additional information beyond what is listed above.
If you are not in one of the countries listed above you must apply under the normal process for study permit

Proof of tuition for your first year can be proven the following way
A receipt for the DLI
An official letter confirming you have paid the fees to the DLI
A receipt from the bank to the DLI for tuition fees
Proof the funds have been sent to a repository account at the DLI for payment at a later date
GIC
This certificate is issued by the bank guaranteeing a rate of return for a fixed period of time. You must have the bank provide you with the following
To confirm you purchased the certificate you can have one of the only
A letter of attestation
GIC certificate
Investment directions confirmation
Investment balance confirmation.
Must be held in a student account or investment account until you arrive in Canada
Must be able to confirm your identity before they release the funds to you
Release the funds in one lump sum or in bi-monthly payments over 10 to 12 months
You can find a list of the financial institutions that you can purchase a GIC through on the Canadian Deposit Insurance Company Website. Just ensure the financial institution meets the Student Direct Stream GIC
To help with the speed in processing you Direct stream application you should submit you Police Certificate and Medical Report.
You must also ensure you meet the medical reports requirements if you have lived or are working in specific occupations
If you plan on bringing your spouse/common law partner or children you must apply for them to come at the same time you apply for you study permit.
