A new report from Yves Giroux, Canada’s Parliamentary Budget Officer, states that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) possess 65% more staff than necessary to meet their Express Entry goal.
The federal government aims to process 80% of applications received under Express Entry immigration programs within six months.
As a result, the total expenditure predicted to achieve the processing target amounts to $792 million over five years.
With fees collected (743 million), this amount will be reduced to an approximate net cost of $48 million.#Express_Entry, #IRCC, #staffing, #EE, #EE_Budget
