How the $100,000 H1-B Fee Is Driving Talent to Canada
11th, Oct 2023
On October 10, 2023, Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), announced a new humanitarian permanent residence pathway for individuals from the Americas.
Canada will welcome 15,000 migrants and provide regular migration pathways to people in the Americas, offering economic opportunities as an alternative to irregular migration.
As part of this commitment, Canada will welcome up to 11,000 Colombians, Haitians, and Venezuelans through the new pathway.
This fall, foreign nationals from these countries located in Central or South America or the Caribbean with extended family connections in Canada will be able to apply for this new pathway.
