For the Human Capital Category this is for those workers who have valuable work experience, education, language skill and a profile through the EE or is for graduates
Business Category is for those who are looking at purchasing an existing business or starting a new business
ONTARIO HUMAN CAPITAL PRIORITIES STREAM
Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream has been gaining momentum lately. The Human Capital Priorities Stream, also known as HCP is for skilled workers who are willing to work and settle permanently in Ontario. This stream enables the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to select individuals who have qualified for Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) Express Entry pool and who have the minimum required level of education, skilled work experience, language proficiency, and other characteristics to help them successfully establish and integrate into Ontario’s labour market and communities.
The system demands candidates an Express Entry profile with minimum of 400 CRS. Ontario is the only province that operates in this kind of set up. It sends out NOI (Notification of Interest) to all candidates having 400 CRS or greater as an invitation to apply for PR visa through OINP. The interested candidates can then revert back and get nomination from Ontario.
To be eligible for this popular stream in 2021, one has to have the following requirements met:
Candidate must score at least 400 points as Comprehensive Ranking Score.
Candidate must have sufficient work experience in any relevant job occupation/ occupation in demand in Ontario. On a National Occupation Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation in the five years prior to the issuance date of the NOI from Ontario.
Candidate should have a minimum three yearlong Bachelor’s Degree, minimum two yearlong Master’s Degree, PhD Degree or any equivalent certificate. Moreover, candidate must obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report for reference whether his/her education credentials match with the Canadian Education system or not.
Candidate must attain a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in language proficiency. The final CLB is calculated for all four modules namely, listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Candidate must meet other required criteria under either FSWP or CEC and have an existing Express Entry Profile before getting interested in this stream of Ontario PNP.
ONTARIO Entrepreneur Stream
This stream is for the individual outside of Canada wishing to purchase or start up a buisness in Ontario. This gives them the chance to be nominate for Permanent residence
Candidates must have at least 24 months experience in the last 5 years as a business owner or senior management. You must have had an active role in the business and have owned at least 1/3 of the business. If you were senior management you must have had an active role in the decisions made in the business.
There is a substantial financial investment required to apply. If you are looking to invest in the Greater Toronto area then a $800,000 net worth is required to apply if outside of this area then a $400,000 net worth is required. Even if the business is in information technology you still must show a $400,000 net worth.
Now if you plan on investing in a business in the Greater Toronto area you must have cash available to you in the amount of $600,000 and outside of the Toronto area must be $200,000 minimal and your ownership of the business must be at least 1/3 of the controlling interest.

French-Speaking Skilled worker and Skilled Trade Stream
These two streams have many of the same requirements to apply. Them main exception is the language skills of the French-Speaking skilled worker.
You will both need to have a valid EE profile at the Federal level before you will can send in a Notification of Interest
If you receive a NOI you have 45 days to apply for the stream through the ONIP e-filing portal. The application takes about 3 hours to complete and can be done in multiple sessions. The fee to apply under this program is $1500 and is non refundable if you are denied.
