On April 30, 2024, the Government of Manitoba held the 25th draw for Ukrainian candidates, and it was the last draw under the special immigration measures for Ukrainian nationals.
In this draw, the province invited 451 candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Ukraine Special Measures Expression of Interest (EOI) draw.
To be eligible, applicants must be Ukrainian citizens, have a minimum of CLB 4 in each language band, have connections to the province (close relative, community ties, previous employment, or studies in Manitoba), and score at least 60 points in the EOI registration points-grid, and possess a valid language test in one of the official languages.
Ukrainians who meet MPNP eligibility criteria can still submit their Expression of Interest applications and participate in regular EOI draws. The province invited 2,676 candidates in 2024, including 902 Ukrainian nationals.

On April 24, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for French language proficiency candidates.
In round #295, IRCC issued 1,400 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates.
The cut-off score of this draw was 410 points, 22 points more than the previous draw for this category, held on March 26, 2024. The tie-breaking rule for this round was April 07, 2024, at 02:06:46 UTC.
As of April 23, 2024, there were 214,697 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. Canada issued 35,970 ITAs through the Express Entry draws this year, including 12,400 French language proficiency candidates.

On April 23, 2024, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to qualified candidates in tech, healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations.
In the tech draw, the province invited 45 candidates.
The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 120 points. BC issued 11 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).
In the Healthcare-targeted draw, British Columbia invited 19 candidates who scored 100 points.
The province also issued 11 invitations to candidates working in the construction sector.
Furthermore, up to five invitations have been issued to candidates working in veterinary care occupations. British Columbia issued up to 91 ITAs in this draw.
This year, the province has already invited up to 2,850 candidates.

On April 24, 2024, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
In round #215, the MPNP invited 203 applicants under the Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba selection with a minimum score of 811.
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 58 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The lowest score in the SWO category was 644 points, 69 points fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, 66 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.
In this round, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 327 candidates, including 68 Express Entry candidates. In 2024, MPNP invited 2,225 candidates, and 297 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
